Our Services

Real Estate Law

Buying a home will probably be the most important purchase you will make in your life. Moreover, it also involves the law of real property, which is unique and raises special issues of practice, and problems not present in other transactions. A real estate attorney is trained to deal with these problems and has the most experience to deal with them. Some states certify lawyers as “Real Property Specialists” as a result.

We handle a variety of residential real estate matters in addition to providing advice concerning the sale of a property.  When issues arising pertaining to ownership, boundary disputes, or contract issues arise, our attorneys are effective at resolving these matters.

Personal Injury

If you have been injured due to someone else’s negligence our firm has extensive experience in diligently advocating for our clients best interest.  Whether it be the negligence of another driver, a property owner, manufacturer, or some other individual our attorneys can help you pursue compensation for your losses including medical expenses, property damage, lost wages, and emotional distress.

General Liability

Coverage for liability that arises out of the conduct of a business. This could cover premises and operations exposures arising out of the location of the business, and also products and completed operations to cover damage from defective products or operations performed. There are other coverages which may also fall under the general liability label.

Wills & Estate Law

Wills vary from extremely simple single-page documents to elaborate volumes, depending on the estate size and preferences of the person making the will (the “testator”). Wills describe the estate, the people who will receive specific property (the “devisees”), and even special instructions about care of minor children, gifts to charity, and formation of posthumous trusts. Many people choose to disinherit people who might usually be expected to receive property. For all these examples, the testator must follow the legal rules for wills in order to make the document effective.

Family Law

Family disputes can be one of the most stressful things of an individual’s life.  Our attorneys aide in diminishing that stress by giving outstanding support and advocacy for you and your loved ones to negotiate agreements that resolve disputes in the best interest of all the parties involved.

Our attorneys help in explaining statutes, court decisions, and provisions of the federal and state constitutions that relate to family relationships, rights, duties, and finances and how those issues will affect you.

The law relating to family disputes and obligations has grown dramatically since the 1970s, as legislators and judges have reexamined and redefined legal relationships surrounding Divorce, Child Custody, and Child Support. Family law has become entwined with national debates over the structure of the family, gender bias, and morality. Despite many changes made by state and federal legislators, family law remains a contentious area of U.S. law, generating strong emotions from those who have had to enter the legal process.

Our attorneys can help with all aspects of divorce including but not limited to property division, child custody and child support, alimony, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Employment Law

In Massachusetts, unless those with employment contracts or members of a union, are considered “at-will” employees.  An at-will employee can be hired or terminated by the employer for any reason so long as that reason is not discriminatory based.

It is against the law for an employer to terminate you based on your age, disability, gender, race, national origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation or create a hostile work environment.  These are considered a protected class, in which you could be entitled to lost earnings, emotional distress, and other monetary damages.

Many disputes arise during a landlord-tenant relationship including but not limited to eviction proceedings.  Our Attorneys have tried and resolved many eviction cases for both landlords and tenants and have also successfully brought claims for personal injury, harassment, and violations of the state sanitary code.

The Landlord/Tenant law is very intricate in Massachusetts and our attorneys are well versed in the statutes that govern these laws which makes the probability of successfully resolving these matters greater.
